Hope on Waghe for bailing Taja Hapa out of darkness

SHONAAM TABRI DADA ITANAGAR, Sep 04: The people of Taja Hapa Circle of Pakke-Kessang district have resented the apathy of the State government and a former minister from the constituency for turning a blind eye towards development of the area. The circle has been facing acute shortage of electricity for decades now. This has led to poor or no mobile and internet connectivity. On October 17 last year, Power Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla said the rural electrification programme launched by Prime Minister countrywide was being aggressively taken up in the State to meet the completion target of December 2018. Informing about the status of Deen Dayal Upadhaya Gram Jyoti Yojna (DDUGJY) in the State, he said that 895 un-electrified villages in the off-grid areas were yet to be electrified, which was being taken up by Rural Electrification Cooperation (REC). Arunachal girl makes it straight to top 12 of TV reality show

SHONAAM TABRI DADA ITANAGAR, Sept 06: It is said that kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see. This kindness and love from her family, teachers and friends has helped Kipa Nikham reach the top 12 of singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma 2018 in Mumbai. Nikham is the only one representing the State in the show this year. She will be leaving for Mumbai on  September 8  from Guwahati for the audition. Differently-abled, she has the dream to be the winner of the show and make the state proud. Her father Kipa Kame and mother Kipa Sangtey reside at Sango village of Phassang Circle in Kurung Kumey district. She participated in singing competitions at State levels and won recognition during Statehood Day in 2013 and 2015. She started her stage audition from Arunachal Got Talent – 2013 (AGT) and then Arunachal Idol-2015. Nikham is currently staying at Donyi Polo Hearing Impaired School at Chimpu, Itanagar.
